CV Stella Brown (b. 1998, Northern California) is a New York based artist working in graphite and paint. Her minimal, illustrative scenes explore memory, grief, and shifting notions of home, often depicting figures in quiet natural settings where the environment acts as a patient witness to their gestures and contemplations.

Brown’s work often incorporates antique frames, emphasizing the traces of inheritance, history, and emotional resonance embedded in both figure and setting. She is drawn to the suspended space where memory, longing, and presence meet.

She holds a B.A. in Visual Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is the founder and creative director of Scratch Magazine. Her work has been included in juried exhibitions and collaborative projects across the U.S.
